From an actual Claude session

“Each chat with me
starts fresh.

Claude · Sonnet 4.6

This isn’t a Claude problem. It’s the shape every chatbot has by default — ChatGPT, Gemini, the open-source ones too. Geniuz fixes it from outside the conversation, so the next session walks in already knowing what mattered.

A Claude conversation. The user asks 'Didn't we agree on a lower scope last week?' Claude replies: 'I don't have any memory of previous conversations — each chat with me starts fresh, so I don't have access to anything we may have discussed last week. Could you fill me in on the context?'
How it works

Three small steps. No setup ritual.

Geniuz is a small app that runs on your machine. It plugs into Claude Desktop and gives your AI a memory it can keep across every session.

1.

Install Geniuz

Download for Mac, Windows, or Linux. About 30 seconds to install. No account needed.

2.

Open Claude Desktop

Geniuz wires itself into Claude through Anthropic's MCP standard. The first time you open Claude after installing, you're connected.

3.

Tell Claude what to remember

Just say it. "Remember that I'm working on the Q3 launch." Tomorrow morning, it already knows.

Your memory

A journal of what mattered.
So tomorrow starts where today left off.

Memory accumulates as you work. Not facts the system extracts about you — things worth remembering. Decisions, context, the small details that don't fit in a chat history.

One more thing

Your AI shouldn't
forget you by morning.

When your AI reasons through something, the insights shouldn’t vanish at the end of the chat. That’s what Geniuz fixes. We wrote about it: Every Morning We Start From Zero — field notes from the persistence problem.
